Prices & FAQs

Asbestos water-tank removal prices and FAQs

Location and access are the main price differences. These starting prices help you choose the right route.

Ask about your job ↗
How much does asbestos water-tank removal cost?

Both starting prices below include VAT. Choose removal if the tank is still in the loft; collection is for a tank already removed.

Ground-floor collectionFrom £474 incl. VAT
Removal from a loftFrom £594 incl. VAT

Ground-floor collection: this applies when the tank has already been removed, is correctly wrapped and is ready at ground-floor level.

The confirmed total depends on tank size, condition, access, removal route, postcode and timing. Your written quote confirms the total including VAT, disposal and paperwork. Do not move or wrap the tank yourself for a quote.

What if the tank is too large for the loft hatch?

Do not break it yourself. Send photos and approximate measurements of the tank, hatch and access route. We’ll assess the practicable removal route and state the agreed method in your quote.

Does the tank need to be empty or disconnected?

Tell us whether it is empty, in use or connected. Any draining, plumbing isolation or other preparation must be agreed before the appointment; do not assume it is included unless the written quote says so.

Can a photograph confirm that the tank contains asbestos?

No. Appearance and age can help with an initial assessment, but photographs do not confirm asbestos content. We provide removal rather than testing, sampling or surveys.

What is included in the removal quote?

Your quote states the agreed tank, access and preparation, removal method, transport, authorised disposal, confirmed price, appointment and waste paperwork.

How soon can a tank be removed?

Availability depends on postcode, location, size, condition, access and current capacity. Add your preferred date and urgency to the form and we’ll confirm the earliest suitable appointment.

Plan the route before arrival

What we confirm before water-tank removal

A tank’s location, size and access determine how the work is planned. These details are set out before booking.

01

Tank and location

Approximate dimensions, condition and whether it is in a loft or ready at ground-floor level.

02

Access and preparation

Hatch size, loft route, stairs, restrictions and any plumbing or emptying requirements.

03

Removal and disposal

Agreed method, total price, timing, authorised disposal and paperwork.

The removal route is agreed first. Your quote records preparation, access assumptions and what the team will remove.

Do not climb into an unsafe loft or disturb the tank for photographs. Only send images and measurements you already have or can obtain safely.

Make access easy to assess

The photos that make a tank quote clearer

Tank and route photos help us identify access restrictions before the appointment.

01The whole tank

Show its location, condition and surrounding space from a safe position.

02Hatch and loft route

Show the opening and path out, with approximate measurements if safely available.

03Stairs and final exit

Show narrow turns or doors and tell us if the tank is connected or still in use.

If a tank is already removed and ready at ground-floor level, our asbestos collection service may apply. For other materials, visit asbestos removal.
